zvelo URL Database, Categorization and Malicious Website Detection offerings continue rapid growth and adoption
Greenwood Village, Colo. – May 24, 2011 – zvelo, Inc., a leader in URL database, website categorization and malicious website detection, announced today it has reached 80 OEMs for its zveloDB® offering. These OEMs include vendors in the UTM, endpoint security/anti-virus, mobile service provider, ad network, security analytics and other industries.
The zveloDB offering combines superior accuracy, coverage, real-time contextual content categorization and malicious website detection of the ActiveWeb (the areas of the web users are actively visiting). The zveloDB can be integrated on-disk across a wide range of Linux, UNIX and Windows operating systems using the high-performance zveloDB SDK, as well as accessed through the zveloNET® cloud using a lightweight API.
Additionally, zvelo’s exclusive category mapping capability allows OEM partners to eliminate policy management and reporting changes when converting from an existing URL database supplier to the zveloDB offering, making for a seamless and transparent migration for end users. Category mapping allows the zveloDB offering to be utilized in a variety of applications, including reputation filtering, parental controls, SMB and Enterprise content filtering, analytics, and online ad vetting/reporting.
“We are pleased with the continued adoption of the zveloDB by OEMs across a number of industries,” said Jeff Finn, zvelo’s CEO. “We continue to win business based on a combination of our outstanding coverage of the ActiveWeb, our high accuracy rates, and strong and swift detection of new malicious sites. We continue to focus on technical innovations and enhancements to zveloDB and zveloNET, including improving performance and expanding language support and malicious detection of the AutoCat systems, in order to meet the requirements of our current and future OEMs.”
