URL Filtering and Anti-Malware Technologies, Engines, and Databases Provide Network Security Vendors with Product Differentiation and Enhanced Value in Competitive Market
Broomfield, Colo. – March 11, 2008 – eSoft, Inc., a leading vendor of integrated Internet security and content management solutions, announced today that it is offering its award-winning network security technologies and databases to Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) for product integration.
eSoft’s first OEM customer, which will remain anonymous, will incorporate eSoft’s SiteFilter™ and Distributed Intelligence Architecture™ (DIA) technologies into its offerings to provide product differentiation and incremental revenue opportunities for both its existing and future products.
eSoft’s SiteFilter has quickly emerged as a leading URL and web content filtering offering, with over 50 million URLs in 53 categories. eSoft’s DIA collects and categorizes over 300,000 new URLs daily, and provides real-time reputation services for new malicious websites, including phishing, adware and spyware sites. In addition, eSoft also offers OEMs enhanced anti-malware, subscription management, anti-spam, and IP reputation technologies individually or in a complete turn-key solution.
“The first OEM customer decided to go with our solutions based on the comprehensive coverage and accuracy of the SiteFilter URL database, as well as the capabilities of DIA to collect and rapidly categorize new URLs,” said Jeff Finn, eSoft’s chief executive officer. “We believe this agreement, along with the patents eSoft holds, provides further validation that eSoft is emerging as a technology leader in the area of network security.”
