Unlimited Bot Detection and Dashboard Access?
Here is a look at what customers get when they sign up for the zvelo Bot Detection service:
Detection Tag
If a prospective customer runs ad campaigns with the ability to place a lightweight, Javascript tag at either the ad unit or page-level, then they can run our detection tag on an unlimited number of impressions, indefinitely.
Bot Detection Dashboard
After successfully implementing the tag, as part of the Bot Detection service, users get access to a dashboard that summarizes the classification of all the traffic that they are sending through. The Bot Detection Report offers insight into the impression quality of the campaigns in which the Detection Tag has been placed. It provides 3 separate graphs in one interface:
- Overall distribution of impressions over a specified period of time
- Top non-human traffic (NHT) domains over a specified period of time
- Top low-quality traffic (LQT) domains over a specified period of time
Here’s a snapshot of the dashboard that users have access to:
Digging further into each of the charts that make up the Free Bot Detection Dashboard
The chart below displays the distribution of Human, NHT, LQT, and Unknown impressions for a given time period, with the default date range being 1 week. The date range can be changed via the date picker fields within the interface and the chart will update automatically. This provides a great bird’s-eye view of the daily breakdown of traffic quality and allows customers to easily identify a day that they have a spike in NHT/LQT traffic.
The below chart displays the Top 5 domains that contain the most NHT traffic, based on impression volume, for a given period of time (note: domain names have been obfuscated for the purposes of this post):
Lastly, the below chart displays the Top 5 domains that contain the most LQT traffic, based on impression volume, for a given period of time (note: domain names have been obfuscated for the purposes of this post):
So Really. What’s in it for zvelo?
Giving away so much functionality doesn’t seem like a sound business model. But, we are well aware that detecting bot traffic is only half the battle. While detecting and reporting is very useful, customers who want to fully rid their ad campaigns of undesirable traffic will need to take additional measures. That’s where the zvelo IVT dataset comes in. Within this dataset, we offer two types of actionable data. The first type is a granular, page-level report breakdown of non-human, human and low-quality traffic. This reporting enables customers to closely monitor the quality of their distribution of impressions and shift ad budgets away from offending sites/pages that contain a high incidence of NHT/LQT. Additionally, the IVT dataset encompasses an up to date list of identified bots (currently in the 120+ million range), so those with the ability to block at the bidder level can leverage this dataset to ensure that they are never bidding on inventory that originates from a bot IP address.
Our offering empowers customers to take the first step in bot detection, as we firmly believe that knowing the quality of their impressions should be a given, with cost not being a prohibitive factor. Our Bot Detection business is driven by customers’ willingness to take the next step to reduce the unwanted traffic that they’ve identified.
