All of us here at zvelo are incredibly proud of the staff who tirelessly participate in these efforts. You are our rockstars. Our heroes. And, while it might be a difficult subject discuss, it is far from difficult to salute and thank a team who works diligently to make a difference in the fight against the sexual exploitation of a child.
“We know that technology facilitates the sexual exploitation of children, but we also know that within technology resides a solution.” – Ernie Allen, Former President & CEO, The International Centre for Missing & Exploited Children
This issue is a very real and very disturbing aspect of the internet, and one of the driving reasons why zvelo was started in the first place. The very nature of the Web makes this type of abuse easier to identify and participate in; like-minded individuals create communities to justify their actions; digital imagery can instantly share abuse while private and encrypted networks protect criminals that engage in the most egregious types of exploitation.
zvelo continues to take a zero-tolerance position against these acts by using our staff and technology to identify and report this heinous activity. We recognize that every time an image or video of child sexual exploitation is viewed, the victim suffers repeat victimization. And, you will find our zero-tolerance perspective reflected throughout technologies, from parental controls to network security devices, which are designed to help protect children around the globe.
