Interview with President & CEO, Jeff Finn
Alex Wood from the Colorado = Security Podcast sat down with zvelo President & CEO, Jeff Finn, to discuss zvelo’s background and position in the Information Security space.
In this episode, Jeff and Alex discuss sit down and discuss zvelo’s background and growth, as well as Jeff’s own. Jeff has been with the company for over 20 years, since its days as eSoft. As part of the leadership team for nearly two decades, Jeff has helped shape the direction of the company and seen the industry take a number of turns. Jeff and Alex also discuss the challenge of analyzing and categorizing the internet as a whole—an incredible feat—and one that’s not feasible to address by scaling up human resources.
This segways the conversation into how zvelo leverages human-supervised machine learning—as well as our global partner network to monitor and categorize the ActiveWeb. They continue to discuss current security threats and how zvelo is helping partners catch phishing threats and analyze networks to catch potentially compromised IoT devices. By leveraging the company’s core competencies of website categorization and traffic analysis, zvelo is able to use behavioral anomaly detection to identify abnormal behavior on devices and flag malicious behavior on network devices.
