Tighe Burke, a team member from the Colorado = Security Podcast, spent some time last week conducting an interview with zvelo’s Head of Cybersecurity, Brad Rhodes.
As we are currently operating under stay at home orders across the nation, this episode touches on a variety of topics which all fall under the theme of the Coronavirus, or COVID-19, pandemic. Beginning the interview with some thoughts back and forth around silver linings from Brad and Tighe, Brad goes on to share his professional and military background, as well as an overview of zvelo, it’s mission to make the internet safer and more secure, and how the zvelo teams are overcoming the challenges of remote work due to the pandemic.
As the interview continues, Brad talks more about what the cybersecurity team at zvelo is seeing in terms of malicious cyber activity tied to the spread of Coronavirus — notably the uptick in coronavirus related domains registrations and observed malicious redirectors — and continues to explain how zvelo works with partners to address the malicious sites before they reach the end users. Other topics included in this episode include election security, cyber hygiene and best practices around internet safety.
